Imotec presentation at OMAE 2011

From June 19^th to June 24^th, in Rotterdam, the 30th International Conference on Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering – OMAE 2011 – was held. Within the technical session on Marine Vehicles and Structures, imotec has given a presentation on the application of the 'mechatronic approach' to the design of interacting maritime structures. The approach is illustrated for a feasibility studynovative approach for deep sea dredging: 'RoRo Deep Dredge'. Within this project by Damen Dredging Engineering, in close cooperation with Trelleborg and TU Delft, imotec and Marin performed a model study into the stability and dynamic behavior of the deep sea dredging system.
